Review: GEO Contact lenses x Angel Brown

So more than a month ago I won these circle lenses at a giveaway that Beck had! You should check out her amazing make up blog for the latest reviews and giveaways! And I must say that these contacts will make you look super dolly in combination with the Dolly Wink falsies which I reviewed here – Review: Koji Dolly Wink Eyelashes

(Bare me for having these faces LOL, the lenses made me feel cute and Japanese in a kind of way HAHA)

Size
The lens I have is 14.0 in diameter and it made my eyes appear bigger. Especially by the thick black stroke on the outside of the lens.

Color
The color of the lens is “Angel Brown” and appears quite natural which makes it suitable for everyday wear. Since my own eye color is dark brown, the color “Angel Brown” will give the eyes the “innocent” look.

Comfort
It felt kinda weird at first but it went better the longer I had it in. You wouldn’t have any problems with wearing these contacts when you’re used to wearing clear contacts. I advice to wear the circle lenses like for only 4-6 hours straight and if you would like to wear it longer try using some eye drops since you will get a dry feeling after 4-6 hours. I don’t really advice wearing circles lenses every single day for like 8 hours straight.

Price
The price is really cheap since their life span is 1 year. The price for this GEO contact lens was only €16,- and were ordered from www.dbeautyshop.com

Recommend?
The colors are really pretty and they’re suitable for everyday wear so it’s really worth the price. At first I found it a bit difficult to put it on my eyes since my eyes aren’t that big :P But apart from that and the fact that it felt uncomfortable at first I do really recommend these lenses ^^

Last but not least: NEVER FORGET TO AUTHENTICATE YOUR LENSES! Your eyes are too precious for fake lenses! :)

Review: Jolen Creme Bleach for bleaching your eyebrows
Filed Under: Beauty, Hair, Review

After been searching how to get my eyebrows lighter I finally found the perfect one! Since I’m Asian I have to “bleach” my hair to get it lighter. So I found this bleach called “Jolen Creme Bleach“. People with black hair will have to wait about 5-10 minutes and people with brown hair like 3 minutes.

I don’t have a sensitive skin but after I’ve put the creme on my eyebrows for like 10 minutes they were a bit red and swollen. The symptoms did disappear after an hour though. It’s really really easy to use and the package you see below is good for like 7 times. Below are also some photos of me with lighter eyebrows ^^

Hiuxing’s hair tips for shiny healthy hair + hair-routine + recommend products
Filed Under: Beauty, Hair

Since I really get loads of comments and questions about my healthy hair I’m going to put down my hair routine and some tips! I actually believe it’s actually the best feature I have. XD Please don’t get me wrong! I don’t want to sound supercilious or anything like that, but I really truly everyone has its own best feature!

The tips below are tips that I follow myself. My hairtype is normal to a bit oily and I have quite thin hair. I can’t guarantee this will all work on your hair but it helped my own hair a lot!

Anyway onto the tips now!

Tips for more glow
- End washing your hair with COLD water – This will close all your hair scales which will make your hair more shiny. (You can see the results of doing this quite quickly)
- Eat food like carrots – Your body needs vitamin A to produce tallow. Tallow will make your hear more shiny. That’s why you should eat: carrots, broccoli, kale, spinach, paprika and nuts.

Tips for more volume
- A ripe avocado has loads of unsaturated fat and will be a very good hair softener. What you can do is mash it and use it as hair-mask. This will give your hair extra volume.
- Don’t tease your hair, better blow-dry your hair with your head upside down using a foam. Preferably one with ThermoCare Formula. ThermoCare Formula not only offers passive heat protection, but for the first time even turns hairdryer heat into extra care for your hair.

Tips for growth
- Eat shellfish, parsley, soy flour, muesli, pistachio nuts, meat and fish, and you know that you are getting enough iron. And that will help you with a better hair growth.

Tips for split hair ends
Vitamin D! It will keep the keratin-layer of your hair intact. Either: less split hair ends. Meaning more nuts, meat, oily fish, butter, milk and margarine!

And as you can see, I mentioned loads of food! Food is largely the answer to why your hair looks like as it is. We often forget this while we try to keep our hair healthy with the best shampoos.

Left to right: NIVEA Styling Mousse Color Crystal Gloss & Volume Sensation
SYOSS Shine Boost Conditioner, John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Shine Shock, Wella High Hair Style Foundation

Another key to healthy hair is the conditioner, in my opinion the second impact after food. The conditioner protects, cares and repairs. It makes your hair easier to comb and helps refilling hair that has lost her building blocks. If you have thick hair I recommend you to use a more intensive conditioner. It’s also very important to use a hair-mask once a week, just like your weekly facial mask.

My hair routine

1. Wash your hair like you usually do. I use the shampoo SYOSS shine shampoo Always make sure you’ve washed all the shampoo away because the shampoo that are left on your hair will make it heavier and your hair will be less easy to style!
2. Feed it with your favorite conditioner. I use SYOSS shine conditioner; a good conditioner should give you volume, shine, protection and help the hair detangle.
3. I usually blow dry my hair, and I actually use a heated one. I get the feeling that my hair will be less shiny by doing this. I’ll be using the NIVEA styling mousse I featured above. Having my head upside down and blow drying it.
Wet hair is really vulnerable, by rubbing it hard or by wringing your hair can already cause damage! You can better pat it dry with a towel!
4. When my hair is almost dry I will rub a small amount of “John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Shine Shock” in my palms and smooth it evenly in my hair, concentrating on the ends.
5. Then when my hair is dry, I’ll set it with Wella High Hair Style Foundation

I hope this has helped you and if you have any questions, you can always ask me anything on Formspring.com/hiuxing

My new favorite nude lipstick

Don’t you think this nude lipstick looks fabulous?! I was in a local drugstore with my friend Yuna and she introduced me to this Gosh Velvet Touch Lipstick 134 Darling and it’s the best nude lipstick I’ve used so far. And it wasn’t even expensive because it was only €8.49!

What I really like about this lipstick is that it isn’t sticky and it really fills my lips up without trace. Though it only lasted for an hour or 3, it’s a really amazing lipstick. And hey, it will only take you 10 seconds to touch up your lips after 3 hours. Below it’s me wearing the lipstick:

My (Daily) Face Routine

Because several people asked me what my (daily) face routine was, I decided to create a post for it! I’ll be posting my hair routine soon too since people have been asking how I keep my hair this shiny and healthy. I hope you like it!

Oh and if you have any questions you would like to have to be answered, you can always ask them here: http://www.formspring.me/hiuxing, I will always answer them!

1. Sephora Foundation D28 2. Calvin Klein Foundation 202 Tawny 3. Yves Saint Laurent Singulier Mascara 4. Missha BB Cream 5. MAC liquid eyeliner 6. Calvin Klein Mineral Based Loose Powder 203 Flesh 7. ZENO False Eyelashes

The look above is my favorite look because it’s suitable for everything. I don’t wear make up really often but when I wear make up I like to wear it like that. (Skipping the false lashes when I go to school)

  1. To begin I will apply MAC Prep + Prime (sorry forgot to photograph ><) the primer will not only help foundation glide on smoothly, but it will help keep it in place for a full day, until you wash it off at night. And it’s affordable!
  2. Then I will apply the foundation, I often like to mix the foundations with each other to see the effect of it. Therefore I found my favorite combination: Mixing 1, 2 and 4 with each other!
  3. Setting the foundation with 6. Calvin Klein Mineral Based Loose Powder 203 Flesh
  4. Lining my eyes with 5. MAC liquid eyeliner with MAC angle brush no 266SE
  5. Curling my lashes with KOJI no 73 (photo below), I love using this one because it’s made for Asian shaped eyes. I have always been using those I found like in the drugs stores but those don’t really curl all my lashes
  6. Then I’ll apply 3. Yves Saint Laurent Singulier Mascara which is one of my favorite mascaras of all time, the brush is really good and it smells great! Unless mascara like Max Factor what stinks a lot.
  7. And if I don’t go to school, I like to apply some false eyelashes from 7. ZENO – I bought them in Hong Kong and they are really cheap. Like a dollar or 2. You can find them here: ZENO False Eyelashes

I really recommend this eyelash curler from KOJI IF you have Asian Eyes. I have No. 73 and it’s a wide curler in 34mm. If you have small eyes I won’t recommend you buying this one.

And for cleaning my face I dare to swear by Clinique, I use this every morning and night and it really helps preventing pores to break out!

I hope you like my (daily) face routine. If you have any tips/ comments about it, I would like to hear from you! ^^ I want to thank everyone who has been following me or commenting on my posts, it means a lot! <333
